Writers' Strike Good News for Big Brother 9

Rumor has it that Big Brother will make an early return this February and that it could air more than three times a week.

Last season fell flat for me but I haven't given up all hope. CBS just needs to cast more interesting houseguests.

NOVEMBER 1-- Our old friend Mike "Boogie" Malin, the reality television veteran who last year won $500,000 on CBS's "Big Brother," was arrested earlier this week for reportedly assaulting a waitress at a Denver sports bar.

'Big Brother, After Dark' on Showtime

"Come July 5, rabid fans of CBS's Big Brother will have a new way to spy on the show's sequestered houseguests: the eye will start airing live feeds from the house on one of its sister Showtime channels. Dubbed Big Brother, After Dark, the live action in the house will air every night from 12 p.m. to 3 a.m. on SHOTOO, a Showtime channel that airs mostly theatricals and adult flicks and is available in over 14 million homes. This is the first time the network has aired live feeds on TV, though they have been available via the internet since BB launched seven years ago. Also new for fans this summer: episodes will be available on CBS.com. The eighth season of Brother will air Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. And yes — host Julie Chen will be back."

Big Brother Premieres July 5

I'm excited -- are you? No. Oh, ok.

"Big Brother 8 (premieres July 5 on CBS): A new group of house guests will move in together for the summer. The one who can outlast all the rest will walk away with $500,000 and exactly 15 minutes of fame."

Total dork here -- obsessed Big Brother fan. I saw a commercial for the upcoming season today, which begins in July! Boogie (Mike Malin), from BB2 and winner of BB7, appears as himself in the new Enrique video for Do You Know. Why, I don't know. "Class act." Riiiiight.
